    During the 2015-2016 school year as part of the North Penn School District’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, the district introduced the Knights of Honor Program. The purpose of this newly formed “Hall of Fame” is to recognize individuals who have made a significant contribution to the school district, community and/or their chosen career, and therefore bring great honor to the NPSD. The program is designed to recognize notable North Penn community members, former staff members and alumni who have brought honor and outstanding service to the district. The goal is to pay tribute to these important people and their contributions, but to also inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
    NPSD would like to congratulate the second class of 2017 Knights of Honor. These individuals include:
    • The late Dr. Barry Chasen, former NPSD employee and community member;
    • The late Carolyn Murphy, former NPSD Board of School Director, employee and community member;
    • Bonnie Rosen, North Penn community member and NPSD employee; and
    • Benjamin Weber, North Penn High School Class of 1988 alumnus and Director of the Foreign Press Centers for the Bureau of Public Affairs, U.S. Department of State.
    A ceremony honoring the recipients is planned for Wednesday, November 22 at 6:00 p.m. at North Penn High School to coincide with our 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Day Alumni Flag Football game the following day. On Wednesday evening, NPSD will unveil the new additions to the Knights of Honor Concourse that will serve as an interactive tribute to honorees today and for years to come.
    In the coming months, the community will learn more about these four Knights of Honor. On behalf of NPSD, we hope that you will join us to pay tribute them in November.
