Services Provided by the Home and School
Ongoing: Assemblies – The H&S funds approximately six assemblies each year.
Class Field Trips – The H&S pays for each child to take one field trip each year.
News Magazines – The H&S pays for news magazines used in the classrooms curriculum such as Scholastic and Time For Kids.
Book Bug – This program provides an opportunity for students to write, illustrate, and publish a book which is kept in the school library until the child leaves the school.
Gardening – The H&S donates money for the upkeep of the courtyard.
Scholarship Donations – The H&S donates money to the North Penn Scholarship fund.
Staff Luncheon, Teacher Appreciation Week, & Support Staff Appreciation – The H&S holds a luncheon for the teachers and support staff in June, provides lunch to the teachers in recognition of teacher appreciation week and give gifts to the support staff.
Geography Bee – The H&S donates money for the geography bee.
Babysitting – Thanks to the aide of our Sixth Grade Student Council students, the H&S provides free babysitting during the H&S meetings for those parents attending the meeting.
RIF (Reading Is Fundamental) – The H&S funds the RIF events held at the school.
Safety Picnic – The H&S funds a picnic for the sixth grade safeties.
Sixth Grade Activities – The H&S donates money for the sixth grade Winter Olympics, yearbook, year-end-party as well as Medieval day.Year-End Awards — The H&S donates money for 6th Grade Year-End Awards.School Pictures – This is offered as a service to the students and parents in both the Fall and Spring. Class pictures are taken in the Fall.Teacher Funds – Monetary donations are made by H&S to each classroom teacher to be used for materials.
Social Events Sponsored by the Home and School
The following social events are fun events to promote opportunities for NW families to come together and get to know one another.
Back to School Event – This family event includes an outdoor social and movie.Trunk & Treat in October - Enjoy an evening outside complete with a car trunk decorating contest and treats!
Karaoke Night - Kids enjoy a night filled with singing and fun!Spirit Night at Chick-Fil-A - one or two scheduled during the year.
Mother/Son Event – The event will allow boys in the school to spend a fun evening with their Mom, Grandma, Aunt, or special guardian.Pizza/Bingo Night and Sweet Shop — Two fun nights to choose from in the cafeteria for several fun games of Bingo.
Winter Ball— The event will allow girls in the school to spend a fun evening with their Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, or special guardian as they dance the evening away.Spring Festival – This is a fundraiser and a social event combined which includes crafts, games, and raffle baskets usually held in April.
