                                                                                            Electrician

                                                                                            12 Month / 8 hrs. per day / $26.20 /hr. minimum

 

 

The Electrician position is responsible for maintaining both line and low voltage systems at optimum level at all school district facilities.  Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Design, install, maintain and service all electrical equipment such as transformers, switches, circuit breakers, controllers, motors, receptacles, elevators, etc.
  • Install, terminate punch down and maintain communication, CATV, CCTV, security and data lines in all district buildings.
  • Perform tasks involving the installation of conduit, connecting outlets, panels etc.
  • Troubleshoot circuits and correct problems by performing standard electrical testing procedures. Perform load testing as required and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Design, install, maintain and test wiring for lights, alarms & power systems.
  • Perform necessary power feed wiring.

 

  • High School diploma and/or advanced technical training
  • 5 years experience as a qualified electrician
  • Knowledge and skill installing, testing and maintaining low voltage electrical systems

 

  • Possess or have ability to obtain electrician registration in one of the municipalities within the North Penn School District

North Penn School District is seeking on-call support staff personnel to provide per-diem clerical, secretarial and instructional support assistance in our elementary schools, secondary schools, and Educational Services Center.  Hourly rate will vary depending on substituting assignment.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

 

·         High school graduate or equivalent for clerical and secretarial support

·         Associate’s Degree or 2 years of college for instructional support

·         Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office), general office clerical skills for clerical and secretarial support

·         Experience working with children preferred for instructional support

o   Supervises students in the cafeteria during lunch time
