HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

$137,590.00 minimum salary

 

The building principal shall serve as the chief administrator of the school in developing procedures and implementing policies, programs, curriculum activities, and budgets in a manner that promotes the educational development of each student and the professional development of each staff member.

 

Major Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Conceptualizes the broad goals of the school and provides leadership and supervision to ensure their attainment.

  • Provides leadership and activities which facilitate the professional growth of the school staff and enhance the quality of the instructional program.

  • Identifies annual objectives for the instructional, co-and extra-curricular, and athletic programs of the school.

  • Ensures procedures and schedules are in place and implemented to carry out and support the total school program.

  • Evaluates student progress in the instructional program through the use of up-to-date student data.

  • Supervises and appraises the performance of the school staff.

  • Provides effective guidance, supervision, and discipline of students.

  • Ensures the provision of appropriate services, material, and resources for all students.

  • Facilitates communication and encourages engagement of staff, families, and the community.

  • Maintains effective communication with district offices and supports district policies and directives.

  • Ensures development and implementation of a fiscally prudent building budget.

  • Provides effective management and supervision of the school facility.

  • Manages, directs, and maintains records on the materials, supplies and equipment which are necessary to carry out the daily school routine.

  • Ensures school safety and security.

     

    Qualifications:

     

  • Master’s degree in educational administration or related area
  • Secondary or K-12  Principal’s Certificate
  • Minimum of five years successful teaching experience

COMMUNICATION AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

Major Responsibilities:       

  • Write, distribute and pitch press releases to media promoting positive image
  • Write articles for district publications
  • Maintain, plan, develop, and expand District website pages
  • Assist schools and departments with updating website
  • Maintain NPHS alumni database; assist with the development of an alumni association
  • Assist in implementing district fundraising activities and staff engagement events
  • Assist with awarding school board proclamations

 

  

Requisite Skills:

  • Strong presentation, communication, design and writing skills
  • Strong computer skills including Form Stock, Wordpress, Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with design and website software

NORTH PENN HIGH SCHOOL
HEAD GIRLS TENNIS COACH
Starting date: 8/17/15

North Penn High School is looking for a head coach for the girl’s tennis team. Candidates for the position should possess the following qualifications: knowledge of PIAA and NFHS rules and regulations; ability to develop and train student-athletes; personal skills that reflect positive relations with high school student-athletes, parents and the community; extensive knowledge of principles of individual and team fundamentals; ability to organize and prepare practice schedules; ability to develop a solid discipline that emphasizes team work and good sportsmanship. Previous coaching experience is preferred.

SUBSTITUTE CUSTODIAN/CLEANER

$15.76/hr. Minimum

The custodian/cleaner performs cleaning services and tasks, minor repairs and replacements, and a host of other custodial and maintenance type duties, as assigned.

Cleaning
Restoration of resilient and hard surface floors and renewal of carpeting
Replacement of ceiling tiles, light bulbs and tubes, and replacement of HVAC filters.
Provide for custodial-type security services
Providing set-ups for concerts, meeting, and other events as directed
Performing other services as directed by the Facility Supervisor

High School diploma or GED
Ability to work well with people; to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Must be able to work standing/walking for long periods, able to lift, push, pull, twist, raise arms above shoulder, stoop, and climb ladders and stairs. Requires lifting ability of 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally.

ON-CALL SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS NEEDED

North Penn School District is seeking on-call certified teachers to fill per diem substitute assignments in our elementary and secondary schools. North Penn offers a salary of $115.00 per diem.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  •     Valid PA Certification or if a recent graduate a letter from the college confirming the following:
  •     Has completed an approved teacher preparation program.
  •     Has successfully completed the certification testing requirements.
  •     Has completed all requirements for the awarding of a bachelor’s degree on a date(date must be specified).
