The format of the evening allowed community members to hear about the 2013-2014 school district budget and how state and federal mandates affect NPSD’s budget. Topics discussed that night included PSERS, funding for special education, charter schools and more. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recognized NPSD as a 2013 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for strategically managing and improving the energy efficiency of its entire building portfolio.
