The Astronomy Club will meet after school on Tuesday, 9/26 in the Planetarium from 2:30-3:30 pm. Please see Mr. Bauman with any questions.
Japanese Animation and Cultural Club’s first general membership meeting is going be held at room D107 after school on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. Everybody is welcome to the meeting and the meeting is going to start 2:20 promptly. If you have any question, please see Mr. Kim in room D107.
IMC Aides There will be a mandatory meeting during period 8B on Wednesday, September 27th
in the IMC. Stop by to pick up your green 8B period pass so you can attend.
NPHS Latin Club will have its first informational meeting on Tuesday 9/26/17 in B-106 (the "Temple of Learning") after school.
NPHS Key Club will be selling North Penn Knights Tackling Childhood Cancer T- Shirts in the cafeteria during lunch periods beginning October 9th. Please support our effort with a purchase of a shirt for $10. XL sizes are $15. Money raised will be donated to Kisses for Kyle.
The Computer Programming Club will hold its first meeting Wed, 9/27, at 2:15 in room E-109.

Homecoming The biggest night of the year is coming up....October 6 is Homecoming at North Penn!
Tickets for the annual pregame tailgate party are on sale from Monday, 9/25 thru Thursday, 9/28 in all lunches.
Tickets cost $20 and include all of the following:
- A Homecoming T-Shirt
- A Ticket to the Homecoming Dance
- Admission to the Pep Rally
- A Pre-Game tailgate feast in the courtyard

Model Aviation Club Our first meeting will occur on September 26th at 2:20 in room H-14. No experience is necessary. We will meet every Tuesday throughout the year.
GOODWILL AMBASSADORS will hold an informational/meet and greet meeting in the main cafeteria after school on Thursday, September 28th. Please feel free to join us even if you have not already signed up, all are welcome!

Engineering Projects in Community Service Club (EPICS) The EPICS club will be meeting on Wednesday, September 27th in room H-003 at 2:30. H-003 is located across from the columbia gym. Powder Puff Due to multiple scheduling conflicts, Powder Puff football has been moved from Thursday, October 12th to Tuesday, November 21st. The practice scheduled for Saturday, 9/21 has been moved to Saturday, 11/18.
Sign-ups will resume for Powder Puff in late October. If you have already signed up to play, no need to sign up again.

Math Honor Society Do you want to increase your math skills and do better on math contests?
Do you want to learn about topics of mathematics covered outside of the classroom curriculum?
Do you want to be part of an honor society that helps improve our community? If so, then Mu Alpha Theta, the Math Honor Society, is for you. Applications can be picked up in F127. All applications are due back by Tuesday, September 26. Please see Mrs. McLarnon with any questions.
The Chronic and Invisible Diseases Club will be holding its first meeting on Thursday, October 12 from 2:20 to 3:00 in room C108.
Late buses for students attending club meetings or getting academic help after school will leave North Penn on the following times:
Wednesdays: 3:15 pm AND 4:15 pm
Thursdays: 4:15 pm
If you would like to take the late bus, you need to sign up with your teacher, club advisor, or home office. You must have student ID to take the late bus home.
Iron Athlete Lifting in the NPHS FItness Center - September 26th to December 14th from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Forms are outside the Athletic Office.

5K for the Alzheimer's Association North Penn FBLA is hosting a 5K and a 1-mile fun run/walk on October 14 to benefit the Alzheimer's Association. The events start in the stadium. The fun run/walk starts at 8:00 a.m. with the 5K following at 8:45 a.m. Adult 5K is $30, NP Student 5K is $25, All fun run/walk is $10. To register go to www.brynmawrracing.com

PSAT Sophomores: All sophomores will be taking the PSAT on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017. Registration is not required. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Nicholson in F040 (firstname.lastname@example.org).
PARKING APPLICATIONS Parking applications for the 2017-18 school year are still being accepted at this time; however, spaces are limited. All students in the classes of 2018 and 2019 with a valid license and a non-expired, registered vehicle can apply for a parking space. Students need to complete the entire application form and return these forms to their respective home offices. Students must be cleared of all obligations prior to turning in the application for parking. Current juniors with parking privileges must re-apply. There will be a $50.00 fee due at the time of hang tag distribution. Please do NOT send money in with application. Parking applications are processed once a week and pick-up will be during lunch periods only (4-7) once school begins. Students will be notified via email or they will receive a pass when tags are ready for pick-up. Payment is due at that time.
JUNIOR PHYSICALS: It is a State mandate that all 11th grade students have a physical examination. Physicals done after September 1st of your sophomore year are valid. Physicals may be performed by your primary care physician or at NPHS with our school doctor free of charge. The State form for a private physical and the permission form for a school physical can be found on the NPSD website under the Families directory.
