2020-2021 Reminders 10/23/20

Important Information and Reminders from NPSD

On Monday, October 26, the North Penn School District is pleased to welcome back to schools the students in grades kindergarten through 2nd grade who selected hybrid in-person instruction! Hybrid 1 (H1) will begin Monday and Hybrid 2 (H2) will begin Tuesday. With this, all elementary schools will revert back to their regular school hours found here.

As a reminder, hybrid in-person instruction will begin for students in grades 3 through 12 the week of Monday, November 9, however regular school hours for students in grades 7 through 12 will resume November 4.

Students will be required to wear masks during school hours and on busses, unless a child is exempt. Please note that face shields will not be permitted per the school board policy being adopted.

As students begin a return to in-person instruction, families are reminded to reference the NPSD 2020-2021 District Calendar approved in late August and which differs from the printed calendar received by families this summer. You can find a link to the calendar in the email sent by NPSD on 10/23/20. It is important to note that all students will have a previously planned early dismissal on Thursday, October 29 while Friday, October 30 is a full day. Beginning, Friday, November 6, all schools will have a two-hour early dismissal on Fridays to give additional prep time to teachers.

To help families transition to hybrid learning we have created calendars indicating which hybrid cohort attends school in person on which days. View and print hybrid calendars. As a reminder, to view assignments log onto the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. A link to specific instructions once logged into Infinite Campus can be found in the email sent by NPSD on 10/23/20. While in the parent portal you will also find bus information under the left navigation menu of More/Transportation.

If you have any trouble with logging in to the parent portal, please email us at [email protected].

As exciting as the return to in-person hybrid instruction is, there are many questions. Please continue to refer to the School Reopening Resources and contact your building principal with any additional questions.

Thank you for attention to this important matter.
