North Penn School District Office of School & Community Engagement Receives Awards
The North Penn School District (NPSD) Office of School and Community Engagement has received several awards from the Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association (PenSPRA) as part of its annual Excellence in Education Communication Contest.
North Penn earned ten awards total, five Awards of Honor, two Awards of Merit, and two Honorable Mentions. PenSPRA’s Communications Contest gives professionals in school communications an opportunity to showcase their work throughout the school year. This year, eligible categories for submission included Annual Report, Branding/Image Package, Calendar, Excellence in Writing, Finance Publication, Handbook/Guide, Infographic, Magazine, Marketing Material, News Release, Newsletter Material, Photography, Podcast, Social Media, Special Purpose Publication, Video (Singular), Video (Series), and Website. Judging was conducted by a panel of independent professionals, who provide all contestants with feedback after the contest has concluded.
Erika Shaedle, NPSD Advertising and Marketing Specialist, won three Awards of Excellence for the 2023-2024 NPSD Annual Report, the 2023-2024 NPSD Educational Foundation Annual Report, and the 2024-2025 NPSD Activities Calendar. Bob Gillmer, Coordinator of Communications Media, received an Award of Excellence for the video Resilience and Grace, as well as an Award of Merit for the video 53 Years, Thousands of Students. Bob Gillmer, along with Mary Faikish and Dominic Didio, Television Specialists, received an Award of Excellence for North Penn Right Now. Bob Gillmer, Mary Faikish, and Christine Liberaski, Director of School & Community Engagement, received an Award of Excellence for A Holiday Message from Dr. Todd Bauer. Mary Faikish and Christine Liberaski received an Award of Merit for Thank You Educators. Bob Gillmer and Todd Bauer, Superintendent, received an Honorable Mention for their podcast, Educating with Es. Bob Gillmer and Mary Faikish received an Honorable Mention for NPSD Experiences the Solar Eclipse.
“We are proud to be recognized for the excellent work done in communications here at North Penn,” said Christine Liberaski, Director of School and Community Engagement. “These publications, videos, and podcasts help us share the incredible work done in the North Penn School District each and every day by our students and staff.”
