Welcome to the new North Penn Aquatics Program. My name is Jacob Grant and I am the new Aquatics Director here at North Penn High School. I am so excited to be bringing back swim lessons at the High School Natatorium this fall. Here is where you will find all of the information you need to make sure your child gets into the right swim lesson group. All children need to be at least 3 years old in order to take lessons.

Swim Lessons - Fall 2024

This fall we will be offering lessons on Monday and Wednesday nights. We will run an 8 week session where your child will come either Monday or Wednesday nights for 8 weeks. We will offer lesson times of 6:00pm, 6:35pm, and 7:10pm on both Monday and Wednesday. Cost of the session is $100 per child.

Monday Lesson Dates: 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28.
Wednesday Lesson Dates: 9/4, 9/11, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30 *No Lessons 9/18*

Choosing the Right Lesson Group

Please use the Progress Reports to help you pick which lesson you should sign your child up for. Swimmers must be able to complete EVERY skill in a level before moving onto the next level. We will be offering 4 different levels this fall. Beginner Level I, Beginner Level II, Intermediate Level I, and Intermediate Level II.

About the Program

Each lesson will be 30 minutes in length. Please enter through door L3, this will lead you directly into the pool area. Parents will wait with their children in the bleachers until the instructor calls them over to the pool. Once they have been passed off to the instructors, parents will go and sit in the bleachers and watch quietly. The instructors will have a detailed lesson plan for each night that they will follow so everyone is learning the same skills, regardless of who is teaching the class. At the end of the 30 minute lessons, parents will be instructed to return to the deck to pick up their child. At the end of the 8 week session, parents will receive a progress report card that outlines what skills your child has mastered, what skills they have learned but not yet mastered, and which level to sign them up for in the next session.
