North Penn School District Office of School and Community Engagement Receives Awards for Publications
The North Penn School District (NPSD) Office of School and Community Engagement has received several awards from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) as part of its annual Publications and Digital Media Excellence awards.
North Penn earned eight awards total, with one award of excellence, three awards of merit, and four honorable mentions. NPSRA has been providing school communication training and services to school leaders since 1935. Their mission is to develop professionals to communicate strategically, build trust and foster positive relationships in support of their school communities. NSPRA uses experienced, award-winning professionals to evaluate entries in their annual communication contest.
Erika Shaedle, Advertising and Marketing Specialist, won an award of excellence for the 2023-2024 NPSD Activities Calendar. Shaedle also won two awards of merit, for both the 2022-2023 NPSD Annual Report and the Meet Your Reimagined NPHS Referendum Mailing. Shaedle earned an honorable mention for the 2022-2023 NPSD Educational Foundation Annual Report.
Bob Gillmer, Coordinator of Communications Media, received an award of merit for the Educating With E’s Podcast. Gillmer also received honorable mentions for the Re-Imagine NPHS Website and the Be Yourself video. Gillmer and Mary Faikish, TV Specialist, received an honorable mention for the North Penn Right Now series.
“The North Penn School District always prioritizes clear and timely communication with our community,” said Christine Liberaski, Director of School and Community Engagement. “We are very proud to have received this recognition from NSPRA, but more proud of the community of students and staff that these publications highlight.”
