North Penn School District Board of School Directors Passes Property Tax Rebate Program
The North Penn School District (NPSD) Board of School Directors has again passed a property tax rebate program, providing relief to senior citizens, widows, widowers, and disabled residents. This is the seventh year NPSD has offered a rebate.
The property tax rebate program is based on the existing Pennsylvania Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program which has been in effect since 1971 and is funded by state lottery and slot machine proceeds. North Penn homeowners and renters must qualify for the state rebate program to qualify for the district rebate program.
To be eligible for the rebate, North Penn School District residents must be age 65 or older, a widow or widower age 50 or older, or age 18 and older and permanently disabled.
NPSD is granting a rebate of 60% of the rebate received through the Pennsylvania Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program for eligible homeowners, renters, hybrid owners, and supplemental payments.
These tax rebates are effective July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 and are based on real estate taxes paid in 2023. To apply for the tax rebate and learn more, please visit the NPSD website.
