Stroll through a massive gallery featuring student artwork from kindergarten through 12th grade and see the progression of student artists through the years. Students will demonstrate their artistic skills live such as drawing, painting, carving, throwing on the potter’s wheel, digital demonstrations and more throughout the show. Fashion meets art in the Fashion Gallery, a vibrant collection of original designs created by Family and Consumer Sciences students. This show isn’t just for visual arts, there will be musical performances from several elementary and middle school groups, as well as the high school chorus concert in the auditorium on Thursday, May 21 at 7:00 pm.
The Knight of the Arts also includes Senior and Advanced Placement (AP) Walls, which feature artworks created by seniors and AP art students who have taken three or more art classes during their time at North Penn High School to honor their dedication to the visual arts.
New this year is a live glass blowing demonstration on Wednesday, May 20, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Artist and North Penn alum Andrew Leventhal will showcase his glass blowing and torch work in the courtyard between J-Pod and the gym lobby.
Donations to benefit the Senior Art Scholarship are welcome and appreciated. The scholarship is awarded to several seniors who will be pursuing art in college.
