North Penn School District Transitions to ParentSquare for School Communications
Dear North Penn Families,
We are excited to announce that beginning July 1, 2026, with the 2026-2027 school year, the North Penn School District will transition from SchoolMessenger to ParentSquare as our primary communication platform. ParentSquare will serve as our districtwide communication hub, bringing school, classroom, activity, and district communications together in one convenient location. This change will help streamline communication between families, teachers, coaches, administrators, and schools while providing a more consistent experience for everyone.
Why Are We Making This Change?
Over the years, North Penn has utilized several communication tools to meet different needs. ParentSquare allows us to consolidate many of these functions into a single platform, making it easier for families to stay informed and engaged. ParentSquare will replace SchoolMessenger for district notifications, emergency alerts, attendance messages, school announcements, classroom communication, and much more. By using one unified platform, families will have fewer apps and accounts to manage while receiving more consistent and timely information.
What Is ParentSquare?
ParentSquare is a comprehensive communication platform used by school districts nationwide. Families can receive notifications through email, text message, phone calls, mobile app notifications, or the ParentSquare website.

Our first phase of the launch of ParentSquare is to replace the standard communications we have done through School Messenger. Throughout the course of the year, we will enable the enhanced tools available through ParentSquare.
Right now, there is nothing for you to do. We will provide updates on when you can activate your account. If you already use ParentSquare in another district, you may see North Penn SD as an option to subscribe.
We recognize that any transition to a new system takes time and patience. While there may be a learning curve as we implement ParentSquare, we are confident that this platform will improve communication and strengthen connections between our schools and families.

What Families Need to Do
To ensure you continue receiving important information from North Penn School District, please complete the following steps:
1. Activate Your ParentSquare Account
All of your contact information is already in ParentSquare. We update nightly from Infinite Campus. Utilize the email you have on file with us to activate your ParentSquare Account.
Complete the account setup process
The process takes less than a minute.
2. Download the ParentSquare App
We strongly encourage all families to download the ParentSquare mobile app to receive notifications and messages directly on their phones.

ParentSquare automatically synchronizes information from our student information system Infinite Campus. Families should ensure their contact information is current with their student's school to guarantee they receive notifications. If changes are needed contact your student's school.
Who receives ParentSquare communications?
ParentSquare sends communications to parents and guardians listed in the district's student information system.
Can I choose how I receive notifications?
Yes. Families can customize their notification preferences within ParentSquare to determine how and when they receive communications.
Is ParentSquare available in languages other than English?
Yes. ParentSquare includes automatic translation features that support more than 100 languages.
