Four students at North Penn High School (NPHS) earned a place in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) All-State Chorus Festival, to be held April 19-22, 2023 at Kalahari Resort in the Poconos.


Students first auditioned for the PMEA Region VI Chorus, who performed at West Chester University alongside students in Southeastern Pennsylvania. While at the festival, students auditioned to advance to the All-State Chorus. The North Penn School District would like to congratulate the following students for their accomplishments in advancing to the All-State ensemble.


  • Ella Notte- Soprano 1

  • Alayna Drolet- Soprano 2

  • Brendan Johnson- Tenor 1

  • Jack Bachman- Bass 1


These students will perform at the All-State Festival alongside the highest ranking students in the Commonwealth. The ensemble will be led by Dr. Amanda Quist, Director of Choral Activities for the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.


The Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the musical development of all Pennsylvanians. The present membership evolved from a small group of band directors dating from 1933. Today, the organization includes those engaged in music instruction at all levels, from preschool through college and university, as well as those in the music industry, merchandising and publishing. The organization promotes and supports quality music education, learning and performance as well as promoting and supporting music education in schools and communities.
