February 2021 Update: The North Penn School District has revised its policies related to Title IX, sexual harassment, and nondiscrimination in accordance with new regulations released by the Federal Department of Education on May 6, 2020.


Nondiscrimination Policies


The North Penn School District Board of School Directors declares it to be the policy of this district to provide an equal opportunity for all students to achieve their maximum potential through the programs offered in the schools without discrimination on the basis of race, color, age, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, ancestry, national origin, marital status, pregnancy or handicap/disability. See Board Policy #103 Vol IV 2020 - Discrimination/Title IX Sexual Harassment Affecting Students.

Additionally, the Board declares it to be the policy of this district to ensure that all district programs and practices are free from discrimination against all qualified students with disabilities. The Board recognizes its responsibility to provide academic and nonacademic services and programs equally to students with and without disabilities. See Board Policy #103.1 – Nondiscrimination - Qualified Students with Disabilities

Additionally, the Board declares it to be the policy of this district to provide to all persons equal access to all categories of employment in this district, regardless of race, color, age, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, ancestry, national origin, marital status, genetic information, pregnancy or handicap/disability. The district shall make reasonable accommodations for identified physical and mental impairments that constitute disabilities, consistent with the requirements of federal and state laws and regulations. Complaints or questions regarding nondiscrimination in school, classroom, and/or employment practices should be referred to the district’s Title IX Coordinator. In addition, complaints or questions regarding nondiscrimination of qualified students with disabilities should also be referred to the district’s Title IX Coordinator.
