Nineteen North Penn choir students successfully auditioned for the 2022 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 11 choir. District 11 invites students from Bucks and Montgomery counties to audition for an ensemble comprised of the best music students in the region. These students will sing in a festival at Council Rock North High School from January 12-14, 2023.
To audition for District 11 choir, students must sing a pre-selected piece. Judges then selected students to participate in the choir. Students can also earn a first chair placement, a position of distinction for the best performer in each vocal range. Three North Penn students earned first chair placements based on their audition scores.
“We are extremely proud of the North Penn students who auditioned for the PMEA District 11 choir,” said Matt Klenk, Director of Choral Activities in the North Penn School District. “Each of these students are highly dedicated performers who strive to learn and grow every day. They will represent this district well.”
PMEA is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the musical development of all Pennsylvanians. The organization promotes and supports quality music education, learning, and performance, as well as music education in schools and communities.
