Course Advancement

SECONDARY COURSE ADVANCEMENT

Course advancement provides students the opportunity to accelerate through the course sequence which will then give them access to additional options at the high school level.  This challenging online coursework is offered through the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit and their online learning platform, Montgomery Virtual Program (MVP). The cost to families is $399 per course.  There is an opportunity for students on our reduced lunch program to receive financial support if they are interested in Course Advancement. Students wishing to pursue this opportunity should see their school counselor.

The window for coursework completion is May 29-July 24, 2020.   As a general guideline, students should expect to dedicate approximately 5-8 hours daily, five (5) days per week throughout the eight (8) weeks during which the course is offered.  To learn more about course advancement and the Montgomery Virtual Program (MVP), students and families are invited to a meeting on January 22, 2020 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the North Penn High School Audion.
