NPSD Celebrates Black History Month

Black History Month

North Penn School District is proud to celebrate Black History Month. Carter G. Woodson, the “Father of Black History,” felt is was important to recognize African Americans and ensure they had a presence in history. Since the first celebration in February 1926, the important contributions of African Americans have been remembered.

Throughout the month, we will be highlighting some amazing African Americans who have made or are continuing to make a big difference in the North Penn community! Our students will learn about these individuals in school and we will be sharing their stories with the community as well. Join us in celebrating their accomplishments!
