Seventeen North Penn choir students successfully auditioned for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 11 choir. District 11 invites students from Bucks and Montgomery counties to audition for an ensemble comprised of the best music students in the region. These students will sing in a festival at Bensalem High School from January 24-26, 2024.
To audition for District 11 choir, students must perform a pre-selected piece of music. They are scored and ranked with the other singers in their section. Four North Penn students placed in the top 5 of their respective section.
“We are extremely proud of the students who will be representing North Penn in the PMEA District 11 choir,” said Matt Klenk, Director of Choral Activities in the North Penn School District. “These performers are highly dedicated students who work hard every day and have earned this recognition.”
PMEA is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the musical development of all Pennsylvanians. The organization promotes and supports quality music education, learning, and performance, as well as music education in schools and communities.
